Here’s a little animation exploring similar techniques to those I used for last year’s Alice Day creation.

As a bonus for the eagle-eyed (and awake) amongst you I have deliberately (ahem) included some moments of self-portraiture…

And for those who prefer your celebrations to be happy rather than dark and melancholic this may be more to your liking.

          >“I’m also an absolute sucker for Jewish beauty’!

and you take that, run with it, and work yourself up to:

I’m not going to take the bait, Sexie.

This post is Happy Alice Day 2017 not ‘the use by Hamas of children as suicide bombers and human shields’, and my site is dedicated to paedophilia and related matters not the Israel/islam conflict.

I’m not going to get drawn into irrelevant time-wasting exchanges on matters irrelevant to the post or blog.

But just so you know: I hope you have deep knowledge of the history of the islam/Israel conflict because I have worked and studied in both Israel and in the occupied territories. I have followed events in the Levant since I was a student and have campaigned on both the side of the ‘Palestinians’ and in defense of Israel. I am deeply familiar with the arguments of both sides.

If I so choose I suspect that I could wipe not only the floor, but also round the back of the toilet, with the crass, hand-me down islamist sloganeering your comment draws on. I could demolish the ‘thought’ behind them as easily as I could the arguments of a paedophobe who regurgitates ‘children can’t consent’.

I have ‘approved’ your comment only in order to make clear that I will not approve any further comments from you (or anyone else) whose purpose it is to start a dispute on controversial matters that are irrelevant to either the blog or to the post in question.

I will be publishing essays on islam in the future and I will welcome islamophilic and jihad-and-FGM-apologist comments – provided they are relevant, clear and polite – so maybe you can hold your fire till then WRT islam.

Other than that: to prove I still love you, Sexie, here’s something you to soothe your ire:

            1. I think it may be a hoax.

              from http://hoaxes.org/weblog/comments/lickable_breyers_ad

“You may feel that you need to scrub your eyeballs after seeing this supposed ad for Breyers ice cream, so if you click on the link don’t say I didn’t warn you. (The ad is disturbing for what it suggests, not for what it actually shows.) However, the ad definitely isn’t real, which is obvious if you read the text on the right-hand side of it. I don’t know who created it, but it wasn’t Breyers. Unfortunately the image is now circulating around the internet in a reduced size that makes the text hard to read, leading some people to think that it might actually be a real ad.”

              from http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-krassner/the-ice-cream-for-pedophi_b_19715.html

“Originally, this blog was titled “Ice Cream for Pedophiles — or Sometimes You Just Don’t Need photoshop.” However, although I’m a professional prankster, I was fooled. It was a successful hoax because, in the context of a culture seemingly based on the commercial exploitation of titillation, it balanced temporarily on the cusp of possible and probable—until I read the box of text beneath the “Lickable” headline:

“Luscious, smooth, sweet and fun. These are just a few of the words we used to describe our new Vanilla Orange Sherbert Creamsicle. These words also apply equally to America’s 2005 Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics Team and the beautiful young ladies that comprise it. In response, Breyers has created a flavor inspired by the sassy metallic orange leotards of our young feminine gymnasts who are eagerly busting their fresh asses to make every American proud. And of course, our RSG themed Creamsicle is as fun to eat as the girls are a pleasure to watch! So come join in on the action. All proceeds to sales from the Vanilla Orange Sherbert Swirls line go to help sponsor our young ladies in competition against other rhythmic gymnasts from around the world.”

Still, despite it being a hoax, I must confess that those two girls DO look eminently ‘lickable’!

      1. Oh, I agree.

A huge part of the reason why I started blogging and blabbing about a huge range of issues [as well as sharing personal, creative content], is because I want to be known as an individual with depth, intelligence and diversity.

Our issues are human issues…and human issues fall well beyond lone desire.

      2. Do do know some music about paedophilia, But its death metal and has lyrics about murder; Not that you can understand what they are singing, Its more like the groan ( 😉 ) of a very large boar!
I’m not a great fan of death metal, But I do like a select few, Black and thrash metal is more me.
This particular group, Their material was seized be customs in Australia under ‘obscene art’, or something along those lines.

        1. I’ve been made to listen to some death (or should that be ‘deaf’) metal by one of my students and was impressed by the vocal endurance of the lead singer and the evident virtuosity of the musicians.

But I somehow don’t see it working well with my animation…

          There’s Hope Lies Within’s version of Schubert’s Erl-konig – https://youtu.be/v2knik6uef8

          I prefer Schubert’s original though – https://youtu.be/5XP5RP6OEJI

                  1. Its summed up well when the guy said ” The composer’s chief concern is with the harmonious fashioning and arrangement of delectable sonorities”
When you get to 7.00 it gets more dark and spontaneous. I can see why you didn’t use it.
As for classic music, It has to be Wagner (funeral march) Beethoven’s 9th and Dvorak.

    1. Yes, it’s beautiful music…

I hesitated before using it, however.

I wanted to use something less…’obvious’.

I tried other pieces – by the modern Italian composers Salvatore Sciarrino and Bruno Maderna – and by Morton Feldman – but their music, though very beautiful, didn’t quite ‘mesh’ with the with the visuals – so in the end I went for what was most effective.

I’ve got a gripe with the use of certain music in ‘film’. There’s some music that’s so evocative that it will turn any scene it accompanies into something moving and profound – another example is Samuel Barber’s ‘Adagio for Strings’ – you could put that to slow-motion footage of a dog shitting and one would watch it feeling that one was watching something unfathomably profound and poetic.

There’s Visconti’s use of the Adagietto from Mahler’s 5th symphony in Death in Venice – the music really does too much of the emotional work – not a bad thing in itself, I guess, but I kind of like purity in art – I like it when a medium succeeds within its own parameters – a good photograph should work regardless of what music is playing while you’re looking at it, a piece of music should succeed regardless of what perfume the person sat next to you is wearing… anyway, I see that I’ve embarked on a rant and will waste your valuable time no further 🙂

        1. Just listening to the Basinski as I type. It sounds quite beautiful.

But I’m not especially into trance-like music, though I’ve nothing against it – I’m pretty catholic in my musical tastes. My favourite modern composers are more like the opposite of hypnotic – Brian Ferneyhough (whose music belongs to the ‘New Complexity’ school), Bruno Maderna, Olivier Messiaen..

      1. I think the Mahler in ‘Death in Venice’ is part of the overall blend that makes the film — imagining the film without the music seems almost impossible to me. Interestingly, if you listen to the beautiful orchestral ending to Britten’s opera of ‘Death in Venice’, it is quite reminiscent of the Mahler adagietto used in the film.

        1. I’ve never got round to listening to ‘Death in Venice’. My scant knowledge of the opera comes from Benjie B’s 3rd String Quartet in which he uses quotations from the opera. I’ll let your comment motivate me to giving it a listen.
It seems the film came out in 1971 and his opera in 1973 – do you think that B.B. was influenced by the film?
